The Dublin School of Yoga ran a series of classes with Arthritis Ireland and we are now delivering a weekly Anti-rheumatic class for people suffering with arthritis and or other related conditions. The class is quite easy and gentle and suited to the needs of the students. The feedback from the classes has been great and I have given all the participants handouts and homework.

“Having been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in 2016, I was very apprehensive about taking part in any type of class that involved exercise but I am so glad I joined Cormac’s Yoga Group.

In particular I find the breathing routines very energizing. The relaxation techniques have been really useful to me, especially with sleep problems.

Exercise plays a large part in managing Arthritis, however it is important that the right type of exercise is applied so as not to cause any further damage to tissue.
The weekly Dublin School of Yoga class we will work on the range of movement to increase flexibility and develop good posture and mobility and strength, we will provide all the information needed for the clients to continue practicing at home via our online service.

Most conditions can effect moods and emotions and can have a negative impact on daily life,our Yoga classes will also assist with the mental aspect to debilitating conditions and we can help improve on sleep patterns and overall mental health.

I joined Cormac,s classes for the meditation and relaxation but quickly discovered the great benefit of mixing the physical exercise with breathing and meditation.Everything you need in a single session.

His classes are well organised and very enjoyable. Instructions are modified depending on the needs & abilities of the individual pupils.

In the eight years that I have been a  yoga student of Cormac Lennon, Yoga has been a very positive contribution to my life. It has provided me with great physical mental and emotional well being. It brings deep peace and connection, self acceptance and self  responsibility. Attending yoga on a regular basis has given me the ability manage stress in my work place with calm and compassion. My experience of yoga has helped me to  keep healthy, choose life, have self respect and respect for those I come in contact with. Yoga is for everyone.

I have Muscular Dystrophy. Over the years, we have been working on the breathing, keeping what i have strong and building on that strength.  This has helped me in a lot of tough times when I start to hyperventilate, I am able to regain control of my breathing again with a few helpful tips from class.
